Sometimes they move at the wrong time, sometimes we are just in the right place at the right time, and sometimes it is A1 photography skills! However we manage it, we love a good close up and hope you do too!

Just as a last view of Rachel’s holiday – it was amazing to be able to meet some Alaskan sled dogs and their puppies in Skagway, Alaska. These dogs love to race and are part of the owner’s Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race team. So nice to get some puppy cuddles!

Not as many faces as usual this month with our jet-setting ways in July! But please enjoy the beauties that did visit…and we can’t wait to catch up with everyone we have missed over the next few weeks!

As a lot of you know, Rachel has headed to Canada for the start of her trip – and has found some of the most dog friendly places on Earth in Calgary, Banff and Vancouver! Dogs are everywhere, in shops, on planes – even the breakfast news has a dog walking weather forecast! This is her with her new friend Guillermo in Stanley Park, Vancouver.

It was a pleasure to have a new face join us for a visit recently – and what a beautiful face! A true gentleman, 4 year old British Bulldog Brock came to stay for a night whilst his folks were away and we enjoyed every snuggle, snuffle and belly scratch.

When the weather turns cold, it’s time to find a nice, furry hot water bottle! Or a cozy coat! Stay warm this winter like our four-legged friends do – with cuddles and coats.

The mornings have certainly become crisp in the past month, but that hasn’t stopped the enthusiasm for our walks or playing in the garden! Welcome to our new family members this month, lovely to have you!
As you know, we are away for July, so have a fabulous month and we will see you all again for our regularly scheduled programme on July 31st. Stay warm!

Without doubt one of the best cuddlers we have ever had at Sunset Hounds, nearly-4-year-old Mahvo had his first visit with us this month! With a permanent head tilt to try and understand what everyone is saying, this Shih Tzu x Poodle has become an instant favourite with our 2-legged and 4-legged family…look at that face!

It can be tricky to get a good shot of our walking pups whilst trying to walk them! So, we thought we’d share some pics of an angle we see all the time…enjoy!
