It was a pleasure to welcome back Charlie and Harlo, who visited us briefly last year for a day visit with some other members of the family, but stayed a bit longer this time. They had a ball in the yard, both figuratively and literally, and then camouflaged themselves nicely into their beds!

2 year old Groodle Sully is a big boy with the soul of a lap dog! He loves being with the humans and the other dogs, and he doesn’t mind a cuddle or two after chasing balls in the garden.

It has been such a pleasure to meet and walk 7-year-old Chester and his new baby brother, Alvin. The Spoodles love their twice-weekly walks and a quick throw of the ball in the yard to break up the day until the family gets home!

3 year old Otis and 1 year old Shadow are well on their way to the title of ‘regulars’ after their visits to Sunset Hounds over the past few months – and we couldn’t be happier to see them! The gorgeous Cavoodles have such sweet personalities and are so playful that it is just an awesome day when they are around.

What an awesome month it has been! With everyone fully back at work and school, we saw the return of some old favourites and the introduction of some shiny brand new puppies to the Sunset Hounds family.

The business officially turned 1 on Feb 1st, so we wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support and custom over the last 12 months – we literally could not have done it without you! Enjoy the pics of our February visitors.

It has been such a privilege over the past couple of months to be able to help out Redlegs and her owner on vet visits as she went through her pregnancy and the birth of her adorable pups. A former award-winning show dog, the beautiful Shih-Tzu’s puppies, a boy and a girl, are now 7 weeks old and in high demand from prospective owners. It has been amazing to watch them from x-rays to the outside world and we wish them all the best on their adventures!

It was a busy start to the year for Rosie and Toby’s folks, which was a bonus for us at Sunset Hounds because we got to have lots of visits from the 2 beautiful Cavoodles! Being more senior members of the community, a lot of chilling out in the shade and napping was on the agenda…which suited us just fine!

Way back in June of last year we introduced you to one of our regular walkers, Bella the Boxer. Well, this beautiful boy is Cash – Bella’s new brother! A former show dog, he has found a new home with Bella’s awesome owners and has joined in her twice weekly walks.

This January has been absolutely jumping at Sunset Hounds – happy new year to you all! It has been great to see our regulars return for walks and minding, to see how our puppies have grown into big dogs, and a joy to meet brand new clients who will hopefully become part of the family. It is birthday week for our gorgeous regulars, toy poodles Yogi and Snoop, who are both turning 3. They love their walks and are so happy to be out and about in Safety Beach that the neighbours certainly know when we have arrived at walk time – Yogi may be slightly smaller, but she definitely has a bigger voice!

So it’s a big Happy Birthday from us at Sunset Hounds!
