It has been a wet and wild couple of weeks walking Miss Bella – luckily she is a trooper and still comes out for her walk, even if she does need a good towelling off when we return!

This little bundle of gorgeousness is Ziggy, a Japanese Spitz x Miniature Poodle puppy who recently visited Sunset Hounds for the weekend. It was his first night away from home and his first introduction to other dogs, which he thoroughly enjoyed! He was one tired little man when he went home after his weekend of adventures.

It was a short but lovely visit to Sunset Hounds for sweet-natured Molly, a Cocker Spaniel with beautiful long eyelashes. Not accustomed to being without humans, she stayed with us to ease her anxiety whilst her humans were out for the day.

Rambo, a Poodle x Shih Tzu, and Molly, a Foxy x Pomeranian, enjoyed some of the last of the warm sunshine on their latest visit to Sunset Hounds…which of course led to a well-earned nap afterwards!

We recently visited Abby the Kelpie for some dog walks up in the hills of Dromana. She has a beautiful spot for taking in the views of the bay and enjoyed getting out and about in her neighbourhood. And there is nothing like a good roll in the grass after a walk!

Sparky and Rusty are 2 little bundles of goodness! The Silky Terriers are becoming frequent visitors to Sunset Hounds and have won over the hearts of humans and hounds alike. Even though they are elderly gents, that doesn’t stop them exploring and playing…and then taking several well-deserved naps! And even though Sparky has lost his sight, it does not stop him getting out and about in the garden.

Even though he only visited us for a few hours whilst his humans enjoyed a peaceful lunch out and about, Kobi was keen to play the day away by investigating every toy in the box at Sunset Hounds! A gorgeous chocolate Labrador with big brown eyes, it was a pleasure to meet and spend some time with this good boy.

Our elderly lady of Sunset Hounds, Boots, turned 15 this past weekend. She is a Beaglier, Beagle x Cavalier, and is the inspiration for our Sunset Hounds logo. She has definitely slowed down in her old age, but will chase a ball (a short distance!) and still likes a walk every other day. She has changed her habits as she has aged, but will always be our puppy in our eyes.

Happy birthday Bootsie!

This beautiful girl is Lady, a 6-year-old Cavalier x Maltese, who could not help but enjoy the gorgeous weather this past weekend when she visited Sunset Hounds. After a nice walk, a sniff around the garden and some sunbaking, she was all ready for a well-deserved rest!

Huggsy certainly lives up to her name – one look at that face and you can’t help but want to hug her!

She is an 11-year-old Bichon Frise x Cavalier who loves being with humans and certainly made herself comfortable on the dog bean bag when she visited Sunset Hounds this weekend.
